Principal Asset Management Co., Ltd. hosted the seminar “From Reform to Returns: Unlocking Japan’s Hidden Value with Nippon Life Asset Management” at Grande Centre Point Prestige Bangkok on 12 May 2026, to share investment perspectives on the Japanese equity market amid ongoing structural transformation, the end of prolonged deflation, and the role of “Sanaenomics” in supporting economic growth.


The event was opened by Mr. Jumpol Saimala, Chief Executive Officer of Principal Asset Management, together with Mr. Pongtharin Sapayanon, Chief Institutional and Distribution Officer of Principal Asset Management, and moderated by Mr. Suppachark Erdprasartsook, Executive Vice President Head of Investment Strategy of Principal Asset Management. The seminar also featured global investment experts including Tomoaki Fujii, CFA, Co Chief Investment Officer, Nissay Asset Management Corporation; Hiroyuki Shoji, Chief Executive Officer, Nippon Life Global Investors Singapore; and Sharon Tan, Head of Wealth, APAC, DWS Investments Singapore Limited.

On this occasion, Principal also presented its investment approach through the Principal Japanese Equity Fund (PRINCIPAL JEQ), which focuses on selecting high quality Japanese value stocks with strong fundamentals and long-term growth potential, in collaboration with global asset managers.
